Someone somewhere something

somewhere someone stands outside a city at the edge of a field

pictures a point of arrival begins to walk and thinks

take off your blinders maybe who knows you'll find what you're looking for

up in the skies the air is colourless but blue overall so slow down

for the wind blows your hair into your face left and right cows are clumping

together no tower blocks trees nothing else to be seen nothing contours

itself on the horizon the earth is flat the sky light and uncoloured you go

and watch for the signs at the side of the road for you're walking too fast

and leave all behind you going for someone somewhere something and there

is time and no time in this fleeting landscape there is an impulse to move

a desire for change to be on the road never mind where it takes you

but is there a need to get somewhere and if you get nowhere with

anything where does it leave you when you don't know what is driving

you or where it ends up the world and everything moving just moving

running in circles with time flying by is there somewhere a nowhere

for you to get to unnoticed is there a place where you can be disturbed

by nothing and be by yourself with someone who so wants to hold you and

nothing less. sure
